Sunday daily Arctic sea ice volume was already lower than the September minimums of 29 years; 1979–2006 + 2008, with about 50 more melt days to go. 2019 Melt Season average is still 2nd lowest. In late July on this experimental plot, chances are approaching 25% for a late summer ice–free event in the Arctic Ocean. This means the potential is still low, but on the other hand the real action starts in August with this CAB area indicator for a Blue Ocean Event.
